After the adventure mode in Morocco, we quickly enter a relaxed 'holiday mode' here - the weather is pleasant and not too hot, the wind is perfect for the kiters among us (but also sometimes very annoying for non-kiters 🤪), and the landscape, especially the beaches, are truly a dream... white, fine sand, turquoise blue water, and the coast is sparsely built.
We find a great pitch next to a cow and horse meadow, right by the beach, for only €2 per night and stay there for 2 days.
We hike from our spot to the beautiful dune of Bolonia and on the way back, we meet the cows from our meadow, who really look excellent on the beach... and when one of the horses, a gray one, comes to the beach later, the kitsch is perfect 🤩.
Christine and Martín, who are a little ahead of us, send us their pitches and so far - touch wood - there is no sign of the beginning season that we can't find a good and legal spot and have some peace.
The next day, after a stormy night, it is cloudy in the morning and we use the time for supply and disposal, do laundry again in the laundromat, and then drive to the beautiful beach of Canõ de meca with a clear sky, where Basti goes kiting and Mia and I - quite unsuccessfully - search for a wind-protected corner 🤣.
In the evening, we go to a wild spot in Barbate, a tip from Martín, which is really great, and there we enjoy our sundowner almost alone on the beach.
The night is quiet except for a few music-listening teenagers (it's Friday after all 🙈), and the next morning, with hardly any wind, we have breakfast on the beach 🤩.
We like this area so much that we stay here for 2 more (quiet) nights and enjoy the beautiful beaches and take it easy before continuing up the coast.
