On a pleasant hiking trail, we climbed from Vent up to the Martin-Busch-Hütte in the morning. After a short break, we hiked for another two hours on rocky and steep paths up to the Similaun Hütte at an altitude of 3019m. We fortified ourselves with a lunch for the last descent of the day and the entire tour. The descent to the Vernagt reservoir took place over stones and scree. Just before the end of the tour, we received the baptism for the E5 from above.

Zum Abschluss im Schnalztal hätte sich natürlich am Talausgang über der Etsch ein Besuch auf Burg Juval beim Reinhold Messner angeboten. :-)
