Summiteer

From the hotel in Zams, we hiked to the valley station of the Venet cable car. This took us up to Krähberg at 2200 meters. From here, we had the choice between a summit experience and an easier panoramic path. Of course, we chose the summit. A stormy mountain wind accompanied us to the summit cross of Glanderspitze at 2512 meters. Here, we were rewarded with a fantastic all-round view, even as far as the Zugspitze. From there, we came down over an impressive ridge hike to the summit of Piller. Then we went down rocky but dry paths to Gaiflun Alpe, and further to Larcheralm for a break. Strengthened, we continued down to Wenns. Due to the rising temperatures and the steep terrain, it was a very strenuous descent. With a bus transfer, we then went to St. Leonhard in the Pitztal to our accommodation for today.
