Brazil 2019 - We are coming

First of all, we should say that this was our first trip of this kind. So, of course, we were excited. In advance, we had already booked and pre-installed a travel route, flights & buses, accommodations, and of course, the Uber app. We even ordered a SIM card for Brazil at Amazon.com.

Now, finally, it could start, we actually dared to go on an exciting and unforgettable trip to Brazil.

Yesterday we packed our hiking backpacks, and each one weighed a ridiculous 10 kg.

We only had shampoo and shower gel in small refillable bottles. Clothing and shoes were reduced to a minimum, and the ultra-light towels from Decathlon also found their place in the backpack. I even decided to leave behind a hairdryer...which I would later regret.

So, dear travel diary, it is Saturday, September 7th, 2019, and we headed to the train station. Thorsten still looks funny with the big backpack on his back and a small one in front of his chest, but I look like a little chubby bug; only two short legs and a head sticking out.

The flight with Lufthansa was excellent. This was probably because we had chosen seats with more legroom for about €100 more per person.
