Surin Islands

Were snorkeling on the Surin Islands yesterday. Booked this excursion through a small agency in the village. These trips cost starting from 2,100 Baht, which is at least 40% cheaper .... we went with Sea Star and it was perfectly organized .... food, drinks, snorkeling equipment ...... they even handed out tablets for seasickness. And yes, what can I say - our speedboat had 4 x 250 horsepower 😁! Accordingly, the journey to the first island stop took about one and a half hours. There we visited the Moken Tamub island tribe, where bracelets and other small items are also sold. Then it was off to snorkeling. Beautiful coral reefs and some interesting fish. We watched a larger octopus - it's fascinating how it changes color depending on the background! As I said, beautiful underwater world, but nothing compared to the Red Sea (which is also hard to beat).

Anyway, we enjoyed the Surin Islands ...... beautiful beach in the nature reserve (you could even camp here ...), beautiful underwater world, sunshine - what more could you want?
