CITY SIGHTSEEING JOBURG & SOWETO (6.7.19)

As a little introduction to Johannesburg (Joburg), we decided to start with a Hop On - Hop Off bus tour today. Our first impression of Johannesburg? The people here are very helpful and immediately explained the way to two lost tourists :)

The bus tour covered two routes, which we of course did both, and took us all around Johannesburg. In addition, we also took a guided tour through the district of SOWETO, a township of Johannesburg. The history of Johannesburg and the apartheid policy is intertwined with the city and the tour. SOWETO - South Western Townships- is colorful and beautiful. Of course, some typical African traditional dances are intentionally performed for tourists, but they were very impressive.
