11th Day Malaga

Published: 08.04.2023

Saturday before Easter, Butt-Saving Day. Since we have the vacation rental for two nights, we took the bus to Malaga after breakfast, which is about 20 km away and takes about 45 minutes. In the morning around 10:00 am, there were already many people at the cathedral, which is actually a shame that you have to pay to go to church.

So we went to the Picasso Museum, he was born in Malaga. For some, it is difficult to understand why his paintings are so popular (expensive). Still interesting, the proof that Picasso was interested in cycling can be seen in the attached pictures.

Afterwards, we went to the castle, which was built by the Moors. One thing I have to give them credit for is that they knew how to build and had a sense of beauty.

The market is also interesting, located in an architecturally beautiful market hall where you can find everything from vegetables, fruits, meat, and fresh fish. Here, the locals also queue up for a direct tasting.

Malaga is a beautiful city with a southern Mediterranean flair. If you are in the area, take a look at it. There is certainly still much to see, but in the afternoon we took the bus back to Cartama. Preparations for the further journey.
