The title could also be "Le Mont-Saint-Michel", which was a special stopover for me. But the feeling when I could see the sea through the green for the first time was just as amazing (I was travelling alone again). The fact that I cycled from home to the sea gave me real moments of happiness. And then I could see Mont-st-Michel in the distance. It all felt so easy and beautiful. When I overtook the many pilgrims, I was still not alone on the island. I pushed my way through the alleys and stairs with the tourists to the chapel. The tour is really even more fascinating than I had imagined.
As I was on my way back to look for a campsite, I met two Frenchmen who I had often met on the bike path. They spontaneously invited me for a beer and were able to watch the island slowly empty itself.
I continued cycling quite late and found a campsite nearby. Unfortunately, the site was hardly suitable for tents; it was muddy and had long paths, and then a camper van driver stole the power bank that I had plugged into the washroom. The power bank wasn't really important to me, but my cell phone battery was empty and the fact that there are people who do things like that really annoyed me.
