Tag 72: black beaches

For the very first time we walk on a black sand beach. It almost feels wrong. It looks like asphalt but it's soft and fine 😀

We use the rainy day today to cover the distance. Arriving at the Waimoto Caves, we realize that everything is fully booked for today. We use the super convenient phone service of our camper rental company to secure the tour with a discount for tomorrow and find a nice campground nearby. Here, there's an airplane, a ship, a train, and a hobbit house as a motel.
