Day 49: Surfing at the Sunshine Coast and flight to Christchurch

We can't leave Australia without going surfing. So we make the most of our last day and give surfing a try. Fortunately, our private instructor is very patient. We learn to understand the waves and manage to ride a few upright. Great sport. Too bad we can't practice it at home.

In the afternoon, we return our campervan. We have added nearly 2000km to the old Toyota.

Goodbye Australia, we had a wonderful sunny time with you.

And now off to New Zealand!
