We have been on the road for five weeks now and have driven almost 5,000 km. Today we drove along the cliff coast with a great view of the sea from above. We landed in Sesimbra, about 40 km before Lisbon. It is a small town right by the sea, it has evolved from a fishing village clinging to the rocks. It is hardly possible to drive into the town, because of the narrow streets and one-way roads, especially not with a camper. We are standing on a large almost empty parking lot above Sesimbra.
We reached the town on a somewhat adventurous route. The road, which was perfectly visible on the maps, turned out to be an unpaved dirt road with quite a few potholes. It's a good thing we don't have the box on the back anymore, otherwise it would have definitely fallen off. The roads here are generally pretty bad, you always have to expect potholes or ruts.
The weather is still quite good, sunny and 18 degrees during the day, but already quite cold and around 9 degrees at night. That's when you need the heater. You can notice that we are slowly moving further north. We still haven't found another gas station with LPG. :-(
