In the morning, we set off – along with quite a few other people – towards the “Parc Omnisport”, where the 11th stage of the Tour de France was supposed to start.

Around the stage, various companies had set up stands, where you could get different promotional gifts if you stood in the (sometimes quite long) lines.

There were also small gifts at the parade of the sponsor cars.

Hats and sweets were thrown from the vans - which reminded us a bit of a carnival parade.

We also watched the presentation of the first teams and then made our way to the route of the “départ fictif”.

At this start, the actual race does not begin right away; instead, the riders take a relaxed lap through the city before the real start takes place outside the center.

The race was broadcast on a large screen, but unfortunately, it started to rain and didn't stop at all.

However, we had planned to go for imperial afternoon tea in the Napoleonsaal of the old casino.

Accompanied by harp music, we enjoyed tea and macarons in a very lovely atmosphere.

We went back to the RV once more before heading into the city to see the show of the “Grand Cabaret de Vichy” in the Kurpark.

When all the French people went to dinner around 8 PM, we had a bit of downtime, as we had obviously eaten much earlier.

So we waited in the Kurzentrum for the show of the 'Vichy Twirling Club', where the youth had rehearsed a really good choreography to various songs.

Afterwards, we went to the Lac d'Allier.

There, as the finale of the day, was the drone show 'Bourdonner en Bourbonnais' with 1000 drones projecting colorful images onto the night sky.
