Mosel View, Vulkaneifeltherme, and Traben-Trabach

In the morning, we first drove to the lookout tower Prinzenkopf, which is accessed by a narrow road.

With our motorhome, we preferred to park at a slightly further parking lot before it got particularly tight, and walked the last 700 meters on foot.

After a steep climb and many steps up to the tower, we had a great view of the Mosel with its loops.

During our walk and at the lookout tower, the rain had just stopped, and we could even enjoy the view in sunshine with a rainbow.

Our journey continued westward, where we made a stop at the Vulkaneifeltherme thermal bath in Bad Bertrich. The rain had inspired us to relax in the warm thermal water. Although we had imagined the thermal bath to be a bit larger, we found a spot in the 32°C warm pool of the Glaubersalt thermal spring.

Afterward, we drove to Traben-Trabach, where we also intended to spend the night at the parking area located a bit outside the town of Traben.

First, we explored Traben on foot before crossing to Trabach on the other side of the Mosel.

After a coffee break, we made our way back up to the Grevenburg castle ruins, which loom over the town.

From up here, we had a beautiful view of the Mosel and the two parts of the town.

Once back down, we went to the White Tower, where our guided tour of the Trabach underground began.

In the town, there are many wine cellars, three of which we visited. Our guide told us a lot about the history of winemaking and recited several poems about the pleasures of wine enjoyment.

As a conclusion to the tour, there was a small wine tasting in the last cellar.

We had our dinner with a view over Traben and the Mosel at the old bridge gate before strolling back to the parking area along the Mosel.
