Bernburg on the Saale and Görlitz - on the way to Poland

To take a break on the longer journey towards Poland, we stopped in Bernburg on the Saale.

There, we walked through the town, which, in addition to some beautiful buildings, also boasts a quite impressive Renaissance castle.

Unfortunately, the weather was quite unpleasant with drizzling rain and a cold wind, so we didn't stay out for very long.

The town seemed rather deserted - we passed no open shops and hardly saw any other people.

Our journey continued further to Görlitz on the Polish border.

In the evening, we took a short trip on the very old-looking tram to the city center, where many old buildings were preserved.

Görlitz was spared from war damage, and many of the large houses from the early 20th century have now been beautifully renovated.

After a brief stroll through the city, we returned to our parking spot and planned to explore the place more thoroughly the next day.
