Today there were a lot of new impressions for me. One of them is outstanding: China is not (anymore) comparable to the other Southeast Asian countries. At least Beijing could be in (other) Western countries except for gigantism. There is a very good infrastructure, very clean streets, many shopping chains, and almost everyone pays with their mobile phone. However, the problem seems to lie in the population penetration of this wealth. I assume that the outskirts and other cities look different ๐ค! ? But I probably won't find out on this vacation, and at the speed at which everything is developing here, it may be completely different next time...

Contrary to my initial idea, I didn't visit the Great Wall today, but was active in the heart of Beijing:
- Forbidden City
- Tiananmen Square
- Wangfujing Street (food)
The first two program points should be seen (keyword gigantism), but personally I wasn't really impressed by them. It may be because I have seen more impressive temple complexes in Thailand or Bali ๐ค. But it's different with the street food ๐. There are really some crazy things here ๐. Live scorpion skewers, duck skewers, starfish, tofu in every form or whatever you desire. I have noticed that people in Beijing eat much spicier than anywhere else ๐๐. Unfortunately, you can't take pictures of the spiciness and smells...

So, the day ends with 37,057 steps, so I'm completely exhausted and going to sleep ๐ณ๐. But it may also be because I have been awake for the last 30 hours due to the flight ๐ด.
One more short addition about the room ๐: Absolutely fabulous ๐
