Why Pannonia Tour?

About Pannonia, Wikipedia states the following:

Pannonia (Latin Pannonia) was a province of the Roman Empire from 9 to 433 A.D. and was referred to as Illyricum inferius until the mid-1st century. The province covered the western half of present-day Hungary, the Burgenland, parts of East Styria, the Vienna Basin, the region of Syrmia in Serbia, and the territory between the Drava(Dravus) and Sava(Savus) of present-day Slovenia and Croatia. Around 105 A.D. the province was divided in two, around 300 it was divided into four, and in 433 it was finally ceded to the Huns under their leader Attila.

Every year, I have given names to my cycling tours.

You can find all of these tours on Vakantio similar to this new tour. Since my first destination is in Hungary and I will be cycling through Austria, Slovakia, and Hungary, I looked for a name that meaningfully represents these countries. Thus, the name Pannonia Tour was created.
