Route: 101 kilometers, cumulative: 653 kilometers | Elevation gain: 260 meters, cumulative elevation: 1,919 meters, distance from home: 824 kilometers (as the crow flies)

Fortunately, the wind changed direction in time. Now it stays with me from the front. 🤣

I woke up well-rested before 6 a.m. I like it when I have enough time to pack. It is important to me that everything is back in its place so I can find it. Unfortunately, that doesn't help if I can't remember it.

In these moments, I especially miss Brigitte; she always finds everything right away. A special case is the shoehorn, which often cannot be found, even though Brigitte specifically bought a colored one.

After leaving Kiskunmajsa, I already had to use a country road. I hoped for little traffic, and on Saturday there shouldn't be any trucks either.

But what was surprising was the length of this stretch: 18 kilometers almost only straight. Such routes are boring and feel like they never end. For 20 kilometers, I need about an hour, so 18 is not much less.

Still, eventually everything passes, and so does this road. In the end, I told myself: So I've already accomplished 18% of the total route.

Although my Komoot said it was only 98.5 kilometers, I calculated about 100, since Komoot saw stairs on the bridge approach that didn't actually exist.

Today while traveling, I suddenly got hungry, but couldn't find a shop, and the two gas station shops didn't really have anything reasonable either.

So much the more, a hint to a fish restaurant, just slightly off my route, caught my eye. It was a good decision to stop there. The fish soup was excellent and my hunger satisfied. So strengthened, I gladly continued on my way. I still had over 40 kilometers ahead of me.

I was a bit nervous about crossing the Danube. Often, the paths for pedestrians and cyclists are simply too narrow for me, so I prefer to push my e-bike rather than ride over them.

But I was amazed! There was a state-of-the-art bridge with a really wide bike path that immediately relieved my nervousness. I even stopped in the middle of the bridge to take a photo of the Danube.

After that, it was just a short distance to the intended destination, where I hadn't booked. In doing so, I exceeded 100 kilometers on this tour for the first time. In earlier tours, that was more the norm.

I reached the owner by phone, who let me choose a room. Actually, he wanted 80 euros, but when I showed him that I only have to pay 73 euros on Booking.com, we agreed on that.

I found the shoehorn in the meantime. It was where I had looked too - just not thoroughly enough. 🤣
