Our accommodation in Cannonvale, near the famous Airlie Beach, was one of the best during the entire trip. The house, which is only 9 months old, is completely raised on stilts due to its amazing hillside location.
Regularly, 10-15 cockatoos would land on the balcony, with a great view of the surroundings, to beg for some food. It was a very exciting experience to see these beautiful and curious birds in the wild.
