Viktoriia and I spend a few beautiful hours in Palanga. There isn't much time, her flight back to Kiev is at 15:30h and I have - no, I want - to go to Šiauliai today.

Šiauliai is about 150 km east of Palanga. Around 15:30h, I turn onto E272 towards Šiauliai, but before that I refuel (there's only diesel and super), get some fresh money, and buy some drinks.

The road is super, contrary to my fears! Many kilometers have just been asphalted. I drive with breaks for 3 hours and the whole time I feel like I'm in Denmark or Sweden, the landscape and vegetation are absolutely Scandinavian. Plus, there's sun and a pleasant 22° / 24°C. Wonderful!
