Tuesday, the 19th of May.

From Jesenik to Studenec

Sunshine welcomes the new day. I slept well and can calmly look forward to the elevation meters that await me right at the beginning today.

So many white pollen are flying through the air, making me feel like I'm riding through snow. Fits, since I'm in a ski area.

After 2 hours, it’s time for a break. I've already covered 25 km. Along the way, I’ve conquered nearly 500 meters of elevation, and following an old saying, I look forward to the distance ahead of me.

Where it goes up, it also must go down.

Hopefully on good terrain.

Since being in Czechia, I've had issues with the internet, probably due to my phone.

Everything will sort itself out, and something always comes up anyway.

This is how I like my day.

In the morning, climbing the mountains and then stretching out over kilometers going back down.

The bike paths are sometimes newer than the route itself, and at times I just glide along.

It’s nice that my wish has come true.

As a bonus, I can even ride in just my shirt since the sun is shining, aside from a few dark clouds at noon.

At least going uphill, I warm up; the wind on the way down reminds me that the air is still cold.

I usually know Czechia only from the highway when we were on our way to festivals or for mushroom picking, or visiting Prague.

It’s a nice change of perspective, and I enjoy the diverse landscape.

There are also bumpy trails here, but very minimal, and the worst paths were previously acceptable average, so I’m making good progress.

There are also many more people out and about. I encounter many on inline skates, on foot, and on bikes.

Which clearly shows once again, create the offer and it will be used.

In the evening, I pass through the big city of Olomouc. Good for shopping, bad for overnight stays.

At least according to my standards.

Let’s keep going, I still have a few kilometers to cover.

However, everything looks bad; I can unfortunately hardly see sideways, and while I’m still contemplating just riding for another 2 hours to cover kilometers and find accommodation, I pass along a collection of trees and bushes on the country road.

I take a closer look at it and once again realize that something indeed always comes up.

Later, I am happy about the spatula that Dave left for me. The best tool to get hummus from the package onto the bread.

And then scrape off afterward.

A game changer indeed, compared to a sharp knife.

Now everything is done, and I'm finally gently rocking in my hammock until I fall asleep.

(Note from the editor: This happened within seconds).
