It was simply too hot for us in Italy, so we decided to head back north. The corner of Füssen was the destination. We left around 10 o'clock and drove leisurely through the small villages.
We didn't realize that we had to conquer the Timmelsjoch, but there was no turning back for us and the climb to 2,509 meters above sea level began.
ODDO effortlessly ascended the inclines and switchbacks, which was quite impressive and relaxing. However, as we reached higher elevations, only one of us enjoyed the scenery. Who and why will not be revealed. Let's leave room for speculation.
Eventually, we reached the summit, which was once again an impressive experience... for one of us!
From now on, it was downhill and we made a stop somewhere in the middle of nowhere to have breakfast.
We left Italy and Austria behind and crossed the border to the vicinity of Füssen. Once again, we found a great spot for the night on a campsite. Here, we actually wanted to dip our feet in the Froggensee lake. But unfortunately, we had to witness how this lake was also quite dried up. The result of a century summer!?
PICTURES WILL FOLLOW AS THE INTERNET HERE IS PRETTY BAD!
Tomorrow, we will dive into Landvergnügen!
