After a very entertaining bus ride with our favorite bus company, we arrived in Berlin on time with our sports teacher. After a narrow footpath, we were already in front of the sailing school at Lake Stößensee. There, Michael warmly welcomed us and then we started right away. We diligently repeated the square knot, the clove hitch and all the others. Technical terms were constantly flying around our ears. And of course, the rope is not a rope, but a line and yes, that's the cleat. At the dinghy, we continued with the tiller, the mainsheet, etc. We dry practiced anchoring, setting the sail, reefing the sail and hoisting the sail. After soooo much input, we had to strengthen ourselves first. After a tasty curry, we could put on our life jackets and let the dinghies into the water. Now, with full concentration and lots of team spirit, theory became practice. Everything was practiced again and then we went out in a rapid ride behind the motorboat. Even sailing back with the jib brought first joy and created excitement for the next days.
