5. Stage: Dalsland and Värmland

EN | We have been on the road for five weeks now - and we have gained numerous impressions!

After countless meters of elevation gain, we made the acquaintance of a relaxed Swiss family during a stopover in the idyllic Högsbyn. They kept us company for two days and we also went on a canoe tour and a rainy hike through a fairytale forest.

We were particularly impressed by the hospitality of a farming family, who not only provided us with the requested water but also offered us vegetables from their own garden, fresh eggs, honey, and a warm shower. So we stayed in Nästebacka for two days and had interesting conversations about the country, the people, bears, and wolves...

By the way, we have already found bear tracks - one footprint is as big as Arnaud!

FR | Already five weeks on the road - and without a doubt we have gained a lot of new impressions!

After climbing countless meters in height, we took a break in the idyllic Högsbyn, where we met a friendly Swiss family who accompanied us for two days... On the program: a long rainy hike through the enchanted forest! The Högsbyn Lake was also a beautiful invitation for a canoe ride!

But what impressed us the most was the hospitality and generosity of a farming family, who not only gave us the requested water but also vegetables from the garden, fresh eggs, honey, and a nice hot shower. So we stayed for two days in Nästebacka, where we were able to have interesting conversations about the country, the people, bears, and wolves...

By the way: we have also found bear tracks - and they are larger than Arnaud!
