Our last stadium: Malmö (24th-27th August 2017)

Published: 28.08.2017

We arrived in Malmö at the train station around noon on the 24th. We took a bus to our AirBnB, which was located in a very family-friendly residential area. A little too family-friendly for our taste. To make the most of the day, we decided to make a mandatory visit to the Swedish furniture store aka IKEA. Of course, there was also the appropriate food, Köttbullar and cinnamon buns.

On Friday, we went into the city. Maybe it was partly due to the good weather, but Malmö was really beautiful. It reminded us a bit of Copenhagen. Our first stop in the city was the Turning Torso, which is the symbol of Malmö. From there, we walked through various parks and streets. I can't say exactly what all those buildings and facilities were, but it definitely looked very cool.

In the evening, we went to Riberborgsstrand, which was nearby, to watch the sunset.

Although Malmö resembles Copenhagen, it is not the same, of course. That's why we decided to take a day trip to Copenhagen with one of our remaining travel days of our Interrail tickets. It was really worth it. We had almost forgotten how beautiful it was there.

On Sunday, it was already our last day of our trip. After making some preparations for the journey home the next day, we went back into the city and strolled through the old town. That's where we found this cool souvenir:

In the evening, we decided to end our trip with burgers and white wine - treating ourselves to something special. We also went to the sea one last time before we probably won't see it again anytime soon.
