South Sweden April 19-26, 2023 April 21

Today we are heading towards Dalsland to visit the Dalsland Canal. Along the way, we will also visit the beautiful Skållerud Church, which is located beautifully by Lake Nären. The church is a popular wedding church and was voted the most beautiful church of the year by the newspaper Àret Runt in 2004. In Håverud at the Dalsland Canal, we will visit the first lock. It is a small lock, but what makes it special is that you can see the water-railroad-highway that runs above it. The Dalsland Canal is an artificial waterway in Sweden that connects Lake Vänern with several lakes located further west in the historical province of Dalsland and western Värmland.
