Today we are traveling to Havøsund.

A journey through a landscape shaped entirely by nature.

The Norwegian Scenic Route Havøysund is a 67-kilometer-long scenic road (Fv. 889) in Finnmark, running between Kokelv and Havøysund, and leading through a barren yet dramatic coastal landscape alongside the Arctic Ocean. The route complements the North Cape, offering spectacular views, opportunities for wildlife observation (sea eagles, reindeer), and concluding in the fishing village of Havøysund. It is also attractive for cyclists and can be combined with Hurtigruten routes or other scenic routes for round trips.

Havøysund is a locality in the Norwegian municipality Måsøy in the county of Finnmark. The town serves as the administrative center of Måsøy and has 917 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2024)

Havøysund is a designated tettsted, which is a settlement considered a locality for statistical purposes. The locality is situated on the southeast coast of the island of Havøya (in Northern Sami Ávvá) on the shores of the Barents Sea. The island is separated from the mainland only by the narrow strait of Havøysundet. To the west of the locality lies the lake Storvannet.

A journey you should definitely include in your planning when heading towards Nordkapp, incredibly beautiful.
