In the early morning, we reach Havoysund, from there we continue to Honningsvåg, Kjøllefjord, Mehamn, and Berlevåg.

The port of Honningsvåg is very busy. It is one of the largest fishing ports, the northernmost hub in the country, and the largest cruise port in Northern Norway. Here, fishermen come to deliver their catch, but also tourists on their way to the North Cape.

The drive to the North Cape takes you through an open and spectacular landscape, where thousands of reindeer graze in summer. And suddenly the continent ends, with the land dropping more than three hundred meters deep into the sea. Here lies the northernmost point of Europe. Between you and the North Pole, only Svalbard remains. Don't miss taking a selfie with the iconic globe – or sending a postcard from this magical place back home.

Even this far north, the snow melts, and summer blankets the land. Yet, as a visitor in summer, you can still experience the magical beauty of ice. In Honningsvåg, an entire bar has been built from natural ice. Photo opportunities – and of course the cold – highlight the Arctic experience. On the wild Nordkinn Peninsula, Mehamn offers a glimpse into life in the far northeast of Norway – where the Northern Lights and fishing dominate daily life.

This quaint community is located on the small Vedvik Peninsula, which is part of the larger Nordkyn Peninsula. Despite its size, Mehamn is vibrant, growing, and has a long tradition. Every year, several festivals and cultural events are held here. There is also a lively nightlife, including a nightclub, and live music can often be heard. Various accommodation options are available, including a hotel, a guesthouse, a youth hostel, and a campsite for camper vans.

Fishing has always been the main source of income. Mehamn and the surrounding area were originally established due to the natural harbor and proximity to the fishing grounds. The town has a population of 800 and serves as a hub for the transport of the Nordkyn Peninsula, along with being the northernmost stop of the Hurtigruten line. Besides boats and ships, snowmobiles are the preferred mode of transportation.
