In Paradise

Today we leave San Jose behind and head to my absolute favorite region in Costa Rica. We're going to Quepos. Here we will move into our villa in the superlative resort Tulemar Manuel Antonio.

Relaxed and full of anticipation, we go to the check-in counter of Sansa Airways, which is supposed to take us to paradise. The friendly lady at check-in asks for our passports, which we willingly give to her. She searches and searches, but can't find our names. Can you give me your booking confirmation she asks. Sure, I say confidently. You have for November 2nd. booked, today is November 4th, she says. Oh my God, that can't be true. Think quickly about what to do. My head is spinning, my heart is racing. I ask the lady if she still has free seats on the plane. Seconds pass that seem like hours until the lady at check-in gives us the go-ahead for the flight and secures us seats on the plane for a penalty fee.

I got away with a black eye again. Catharsis must be punished.

The flight with the small Cessna is relaxed. The beautiful landscape glides beneath us. After only 20 minutes we reach Quepos.

The driver is already waiting and takes us to the Tulemar Resort Manuel Antonio.

This facility is certainly one of the most beautiful facilities in the world and has received several international awards. The Tulemar was built on a slope in the middle of the lush nature with all its animals. There are a variety of villas of all sizes and price categories. Each guest has a personal concierge who can help with all small and large questions about their stay before the trip begins. Of course, a stay here has its price. As average Europeans, we can only afford this system in the rainy season. But we're happy to accept a little more rain for our vacation in paradise.

When we arrive at our dreamy villa Casa de Frutas, the team that will pamper us is ready to welcome us.

A large fruit plate and a refrigerator filled with drinks are further attention from the management. Chris, our concierge shows us our dream house and we are simply speechless. It couldn't be nicer. Your stay in paradise can begin. Pura Vida
