Rain
In the morning we got picked up and we took our paper elephant with us. Then we cut a little hole in the side and filled it with small pieces of meat.
We cleaned the elephant enclosure, they had now made a metal broom for us that wouldnt break. After that we went to the lions.
First we had to lead them into a extra enclosure and trap them. So now we went in the main enclosure while the lions were roaring at us and we picked up all the bones and leftovers from the previous days.
Then we let them out and cleaned the extra enclosure were we also put in our baby elephant. With some pencil I drew a little face on his front. He was very happy and excited about being here.
Then we went outside and opened the gate. The male lion was not very interested he focused more on us but the 2 females did went for the baby paper elephant. Piece by piece they slowly started to tear dodie apart. He spent his last moments still smiling.
We went to the second big enclosure and started to collect spiked wire that was left from where they once had a fence here. It took us a while and during that Larissa and Lea found 2 more tortoise shells that still had a lot more scales than mine. So now I have the most boring one.
Whitney was back today but we still had enough lunch from yesterday so we ate that.
Back for the afternoon, it was already colder, we first started with the elephant food.
Next we loaded up a bunch of hay to feed to the rhino and buffalo's. They luckily werent there today, so we could load everything off in peace.
Then we went to get some more hay to load off on the other side. It started to rain now so we hurried. We actually saw the hippos that walk around here but since they are a bit scared they dissapeared quickly.
We dropped off the bones from this morning aswell and then we were driven to our tents a bit earlier than usual because the rain just kept on getting worse.
It was a very quick shower, since the bathroom is open the wind and rain blew directly in my face while I was showering. Also I had to hang up my towel inside my tent since it would just get wet in the bathroom. So after the shower I rushed inside dripping almost slipping on the wooden floor and grabbed my towel.
The rain has stopped a bit now but its still cold. Tuesday is rain day here.
We met again for dinner and everybody was freezing, larissa and lea just wanted to go back to their tents but I suggested we stay outside and make a fire.
So we did and we had a very nice evening talking and watching stars.
