22/09/2018 last day in Brisbane

A night out

Spending the day relaxed and calm I walked around, said goodbye to vault games and made my way to the giant wheel at south bank at around 5pm with dennis.

There we met with luisa, sarah, cearra and oliver, my volunteer buddys from lone pine. We went to a bar next to a terrible represantation of the german 'oktoberfest' with german music and clothing. A quick break followed so we could watch the brisbane river light show. It was pretty but also kinda short.

In another expensive bar we talked about our time at lone pine and a lot of other things until the bus departure times forced us to leave. I said my goodbye's to them and we decided to stay in contact and to continue the legacy of asking for left overs at lone pine. After cearra, sarah and luisa left, then oliver(who almlost missed his bus), until it was just me and dennis left. We had a last drink in a bar right next to my hostel and after a goodbye then parted ways as well....

I had a great time here and 3 weeks went by in a flash. I settled in faster than I thought and have to leave sooner than I want. I am excited to go to Townsville but also nervous since the struggle with buses and organising will start again.

I will have to get up early to checkout and get to the airport on time. Hope everything goes well.

Sadly no fun story's today just a goodbye to the friends I was able to meet here. Wish you all the best.
