Continue driving to Opononi before breakfast, where we have breakfast on the beach. In Opononi online in a cozy cafe. Continue driving to Dargaville and then to Matakohe to the Kauri Museum. Kauri trees resemble the mammoth trees and can live for about 4000-5000 years. We will stay in Wellsford in a slightly more upscale neighborhood.
