06.30am - dressed in sportswear, we set off towards Nordperd, aforest path that led through the tip of the island. On the way, we didn'tencounter a single soul and enjoyed the peace of the early morning hour. Thelittle forest path wound its way through the undergrowth, and we couldcontinuously look down at the cliffs, which carried the forest, and onto thesea. Afterwards, we raided the breakfast buffet. We hoped to get Wi-Fiin the , but were disappointed because it was Sunday. Weeventually got a password for one euro. There we sat, on the footpath in frontof the tourist house, with the laptop on our knees, being scrutinized by thecritically passing people. Then our paths separated, as Jessica had to wash herclothes urgently and I wanted to go bernstein hunting. Following the sign, I went towards the beach. When the directions suddenlyended, I thought that maybe I had already reached my destination. As theamber could most likely be found in the surf, I walked straight towards thewater without looking left or right. When the first waves lapped around myfeet, I realized that there were naked people all around me - I had walkedright into the nudist part of the beach. Oops. Feeling completely out of place,I did a 180-degree turn and went back. After following the normal beach for afew minutes, it got too crowded for me, and I turned back. No amber for me.Meanwhile, our room had temporarily been transformed into a laundry room. Clotheslinesdangled everywhere. After a few minutes, freshly washed clothes were hangingon them. Satisfied with the completion of this task, we went to the Southbeach, which was less frequented due to the fact that it was a natural beach.
