The arrival and my first few days in Ireland
My host family, which had been my girlfriend's au pair family last year, welcomed me very nicely and helped me during my first days. I am very thankful to the family Clissmann....

During my last few days in Avoca, I decided to do some nature hikes. Firstly, on Wednesday I walked about 10km on the Wicklow Way, which is a famous hiking trail in County Wicklow and about 132km long. The countryside through the Wicklow Mountains National Park was great. I walked near a region called Luggala, where they were shooting the Vikings. Therefore there were many TV production companies. In spite of their trucks, I took some nice photos for you.

The following day I went to Glendalough, which is another village in the Wicklow Mountains National Park and part of the Wicklow Way too. There I walked about 15km among forests and lakes. Finally, I decided to hike on the top of the mountain Mullacor. It was very tiring.

On Friday, I went together with the Clissmann family to the Arklow primary school of their daughter Zoe. They had a project day with many desks from different countries. For this reason, I stayed at the German desk together with Zoe's father Kilian, who is a quarter German, and some German aupairs. It was great to see the kids smiling. The day continued with good news. I received my PPS number and my debit card. So everything worked and I won't have to do much red tape in the following weeks. Afterwards, I traveled to Lucan, where I will stay for a minimum of 1 month with the Canning family. They welcomed me very warmly and I am happy to stay here. Lucan is situated in the east of Dublin and next to Leixlip, where I start working on Monday at the HP company.
On Saturday, I watched a football match of little kids and in the evening I went to Dublin City Centre to visit some Pubs together with Anna from Ravensburg and my flatmate Stefan. I can highly recommend Irish whiskey!
