My wife was overjoyed when she saw the flyer for the elephant tour. We immediately booked and on Tuesday morning we set off. First by car to a river east of Tandwe. We then sailed on the same river in a motorized dugout for about 45 minutes upstream, which was quite an adventure.

There were always locals on both sides who obviously lived off a bit of farming and a few animals.

But there were also golden pagodas.

The gentle elephants were already waiting for us.

First, we bathed together and took care of the morning routine.

Afterwards, everything was loaded onto the big floppy ears and off we went into the jungle.

The elephant farm is located a little northeast of the river.

Here elephants and humans live side by side.

Everyone got something to eat 👍

Very beautiful and recommended trip for young and old.
