On February 11th, the largest free festival in Melbourne took place - the St. Kilda Festival! Every year on the second weekend of this month, thousands of people celebrate the summer, with various bands performing and dancers, singers, and other artists taking the stage. Along the entire beach promenade, you can discover food trucks, jewelry and clothing stands, photo spots, and much more! The streets around the famous St. Kilda Beach are closed off and the overcrowded trams transport visitors to the entrance. For the kids, there are bouncy castles and sports activities, and of course, Luna Park with its numerous rides and roller coasters is open. Since 1980, the festival brings together a diverse range of people to dance and celebrate, including us this year :) We were a group of six au pair girls and we met in St. Kilda around noon, the weather was getting sunnier at that time and after searching for food, we headed down to the stage!
