Hello dear ones,
I'm getting back to my blog after what feels like an eternity. A lot has happened since my last post about the surf camp, and today I finally found the motivation to tell you about it.
A day after the surf camp, I flew from Sydney to Brisbane, where I was picked up from the airport by my host mother Katja and her two children, Lena and Rhys. I found the host family quite spontaneously on Facebook and so far, I am very happy with them. I have been living with this host family since October 8th and will stay for another two weeks. Here, I work as an Au Pair and live together with Stanley (host father, Australian), Katja (host mother, German), Rhys (6), and Lena (4). We live about three quarters of an hour away from Brisbane, practically between the Gold Coast and Brisbane. Here's a map to give you an idea of where everything is:

Most of the time, I simply take care of Lena and have to take Rhys to school. The job itself is not very exciting, but I still enjoy it very much.
