Day 50: 50 days - and I'm rarely a nuisance

Fifty days, I believe my pig whistles... No wait, it's just the teakettle. Nevertheless, what an anniversary. We have never been away from home for so long, both of us, and we have never been together on the road for so long, not to mention the fact that we crossed the halfway point of our journey a few days ago. Of course, we celebrated this appropriately - in wreckage and evening dress with lobster and champagne on the beach. Well, to tell the truth: the beach is correct, but we completely forgot about it. There was no lobster, but there was plenty of fish and the champagne was more of a milk carton developing a life of its own. Nevertheless, reason enough to write a brief summary of our experiences and impressions so far - should be at this point. But I find it stupid, I write too often about our feelings and similar balderdash. There's only one thing to say: the fear of a responsible lifestyle in Austria and the joy of coming home again are sometimes in a relatively constant balance.

Our anniversary day begins with a quite pleasing event (the cities on the Sunshine Coast offer free Wi-Fi access), followed by a very depressing news. Originally, we planned to visit a childhood friend of mine who emigrated to Sydney. However, he had to fly to Europe spontaneously because a family tragedy occurred, which I don't want to go into detail about. So on the one hand, we are upset about the reminder of how cruel life can be away from our camping daydream, but on the other hand, of course, we are also very sad that we cannot see old acquaintances again (even if this is not related to the mentioned events).

We quietly visit the different coastal sections and - seeing the waves, I decide not to give up the hunt for a surfboard just yet.

In the evening, we're so authentically Australian and I grill myself a steak on a BBQ grill in a publicly accessible area. The feeling of grilling a gigantic piece of meat with a cold and overpaid beer can in hand, while you can hear the roar of the ocean not too far away, is simply indescribable. Surprisingly, the aforementioned piece of cow is extremely delicious, and so today we celebrate life consciously and humbly.

Gudi's glorious laws:

This section is intended to meet Gudi's well-known character trait (some would call it know-it-all) with humor and sarcasm in a cabaret-like manner. But on a day like today, it is rather inappropriate to talk about funny things, which is why this section remains empty.
