29th December 2019 Salvador de Bahia

Arrived in Salvador de Bahia early in the morning. Impressive skyline, and the weather is also nice. Around 30 degrees and sunny. The excursion "Historical Salvador" took us to the old town and was very informative. The large Christmas tree is made of empty plastic bottles, a funny idea. There are several of them scattered throughout the city. The old town (which we saw) is very picturesque for a city with 3.2 million inhabitants and very lively for a Sunday. Well, with 2 1/2 cruise ships at the pier (we operate as a baby ship with a maximum of 580 passengers), a lot of tourists naturally come to the city. We will see the ships that are with us in Salvador again in Rio. Overall, a very nice day.
