Tag 129 and 130: Exploring the surroundings and lots of local food

In the next two days, Ilan showed me her favorite spots in the northeast of Taiwan. We went to the mountains, which unfortunately were covered in clouds, we went to the sea twice, and we ate a lot of local food. She made it her mission to show me all the food specialties here in the 4 days. My absolute favorite was a fish dumpling soup. However, I shouldn't have told her that, because she bought me a kilogram of dumplings. On the second evening in Taiwan, we went to a local night market. There, we looked around and ate more local food.

On the last evening, she invited her colleagues to a big communal dinner. I didn't understand a word they were saying, but they all laughed so heartily that I had to laugh along.
