Day 10: Into the Jungle

Since we don't have a jungle at home and we were both interested in what a jungle looks like, we decided to take a jungle tour today.

First, we drove with our big SUV to a national park with a beautiful waterfall. I would have loved to take this car home :)
Then we drove about an hour into the middle of nowhere, where we left the car and started walking into the jungle. On the way, our guide told us many interesting things about life and nature here. The goal of our hike was a small village by a stream. There we cooked our lunch together.

In the evening, we met up with our guide (who at this point was more of a new friend than a guide) for a beer. After 3 beers, 1 Jägermeister, and a very questionable Thai liquor, we headed to the dance floor. But what was that... exactly at midnight, the lights went on and the music stopped. Closing time in Thailand. Well, no problem, our tipsy friend knew another place. So we got in his SUV and went to the Lucky Bar. When we arrived at this bar, we quickly realized that all the women (if they were women) were very available for purchase. So we quickly downed a cola and then went to bed. That was a long day.
