27.9.18 Mürren - Griesalp

And another new day begins. Today I am going from Mürren to Griesalp, in the Kiental. I am enjoying the view of Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau again during breakfast before I set off. After the hiking days with Simone and the half-day of rest yesterday, I am now alone again. And this has its charm as well. The ascent at the beginning is very steep, but E, M, and J accompany me until the pass. And this is already on the third day. A middle part to catch my breath and then it's steep uphill again to Sefinafurggä. This pass into the Kiental is the highest pass on my tour so far, with 2600 meters of altitude. I can't really enjoy the picnic and break. The descent is also very steep with stairs in the scree. So I quickly set off again, the 10kg on my back add to my respect. But everything is going well and even during the descent I keep turning around, now I have a view of Gspaltenhorn and Blüemlisalp. Past picturesque alpine scenery and not to forget, in radiant sunshine, I arrive at my destination for the day, Griesalp. Due to technical difficulties, it was only 1000 meters in altitude, just under 18 km, but still more than 5 hours of hiking time. There is an alp hotel here with several historical buildings. Everything is well maintained with a lot of love. I treat myself to another Vermicelle in the sun, and when the last post bus goes down into the valley, peace returns. There is even a sauna here. My muscles enjoy the relaxation. For dinner, there is a game platter in a very nice atmosphere. It is completely quiet here, perfect for rest before tomorrow's king stage...according to my tour description on wanderland.ch...
