Hello dear travel fans, I would like to give you an insight into our trip to Japan and Korea.
We are particularly excited about the food here – hence the title of this blog. Of course, both countries offer much more than just delicious rice, kimchi, and sake. We are discovering many small peculiarities, differences, and useful tips, gathering impressions that either confirm or refute typical stereotypes about these countries.
First, let’s look at the overview:
A round-trip flight has been booked, with a stopover in Beijing for each leg. First, we fly from Frankfurt to Beijing, have a short transfer time, and then continue our journey to Osaka. We will spend a total of 12 days in Japan, which will take us to Osaka, Nara, possibly Kobe, Kyoto, and Tokyo. After that, we fly from Osaka to Seoul to explore South Korea in 9 days, visiting both Seoul and Busan. Finally, we return to Frankfurt from Seoul, with another stop in Beijing.

This is the plan recommended to us by Carmen for Japan and by Jenny for Korea (MANY THANKS again). Some colleagues gave us useful tips (Thanks Michael, thanks Laura!!).
