The day started with a magnificent sunrise over the country, which was partly shrouded in fog. At breakfast we enjoyed this heavenly silence again.
The path took us further south, partly on the famous N2, partly on smaller main roads, a lot overland, but also repeatedly through smaller and larger villages. We treated ourselves to a small snack in the form of a bifana and an octopus with a wonderful view over the sea on the detour to Azenha do Mar.
Next stop was at the beautiful Bordeira beach. Infinite space and the incredible power of the sea. So much power that the waves were definitely several sizes too big for me. Walking along the cliffs and watching the fishermen position themselves in the most unlikely places on the cliffs and cast their lines.
We briefly considered stopping in the parking lot, but then decided to continue on to Sagres. We parked in the immediate vicinity of the fort and enjoyed the view from the cliffs into the sea, where there were again many surfers frolicking in the waves.
