Let's go to the oldest town in Denmark. For campers, the city offers a parking space that can be used free of charge and has supply and disposal facilities. The offer was very well received and despite arrival time in the morning, the place was full. Luckily Louise is not that tall and so we were able to use a normal free parking space.

Our first course in a city is usually to the tourist office. Here in Ribe we met an extremely committed and friendly employee, so we were supplied with a city map including background information shortly afterwards.

The history of Ribe goes way back to the year 710. From here the Vikings set out for Europe with their ships, on the one hand to trade, but at the same time they spread fear and terror. In the Middle Ages, Ribe was one of the most important port cities in Denmark. In the medieval town center many historic buildings are well preserved, cobblestones characterize the streetscape. In the center is the imposing cathedral, which is clearly visible due to the high church tower. The cathedral church was consecrated in 1250.

A number of restaurants are also housed within the old walls. As it was to be the last day in Denmark, smorrebrod was on our food wish list. In a cozy backyard we enjoyed our lavishly topped slice of black bread.

Somehow we didn't want to drive over the border yet, so we headed for a parking space in the middle of the country. After an idyllic drive across the country, we arrived at the estate. Carlos greeted us warmly and showed us his parking space surrounded by forest. He and his wife lovingly furnished the clearing; In addition to two circus wagons, there were also two tents on the meadow, one of which was for overnight stays, the other as a lounge tent including a drinks fridge. A really nice place, including electricity, WiFi and a usable bathroom, great.

Tomorrow we're going to Germany, a short stop, a few appointments, a little repacking, washing and cleaning. Therefore: See you soon!
