I still haven't gotten any further with surfing, that should finally change now. We headed south of Porto with the aim of finding a nice pitch with a nice surf school. On the way there I stopped again at a supermarket, a really big one in an industrial area. The selection was overwhelming again, so many great things. Covered with some delicacies we went to the coast below Aveiro.
The place we had our eye on wasn't that inviting and there was no one to be found at the surf school either. Almost two kilometers further the next possibility is at Alma, a small restaurant near the beach. The owner Emilio makes his meadow available free of charge. Somehow it was and he was quite nice, so we stopped. Unfortunately, there is no surf school, but the view of the sea did not show optimal surfing conditions.
In the morning by bike again to the surf school. Met a nice guy from the surf school there. Due to the tide, the courses will always take place in the afternoon over the next few days, but it would be possible from tomorrow. However, the wind is already strong, it will become even stronger in the next few days and will freshen up in the afternoon. The waves then come very irregularly, are up to two meters high and therefore not good conditions for learning. Basically, the conditions for beginners are better further south. I was very grateful for his frank words.
So there was just a delicious brunch after visiting the place nearby and a leisurely day with plenty of time to write and a longer visit to the beach with an extremely refreshing swim.
