After the last two days of the tour, it was time to change campsites and relax. We went from Le Bourg-d'Oisans over a pass to Gap, where we realized it was very hot and even worse, very flat. The route planner was fired up again, and Embrun was chosen as our next destination. There, we liked the surrounding mountains much better, and the temperatures decreased with every meter of elevation.
Since our timings always worked out perfectly, ensuring that we would definitely reach a campsite or tourist information center during the lunch break, we strolled through the lovely old town and enjoyed the goods on display at a market. After having an ice cream and buying maps for tours in the area, we were able to choose and head to the next campsite. We reached a slightly higher campsite via very narrow and steep roads, with elaborately laid-out terraces. We managed to snag the best one with a perfect view, set everything up, and prepared a delicious meal.
We didn't want to end the day without any physical activity, so we decided to do some bodyweight exercises on a whim.
Tomorrow, we have the longest and perhaps most difficult tour so far. Stefanie was a bit nervous. Mini couldn't be dissuaded and insisted on doing the tour. A quick check on Google Earth eased Stefanie's concerns.
