Lima is a huge city, which naturally has very different neighborhoods. And it keeps growing, especially along the coast where plenty of construction is happening for the wealthier residents. On the first evening, Tati took us to her friends who live right on the coast in a penthouse. It was strange that other friends even brought their nanny with them so they didn't have to take care of their own child 🤷🏼♂️.
On the following days, we explored the trendy district of Barranco, where artists gather and there are many graffiti and bars. We also strolled through the old town and visited an archaeological site from the time before the Incas, estimated to be 5,000 years old! Quite special to have it in the middle of the city! Other than that, we enjoyed the pool and the Peruvian food. There was an ice cream parlor that was incredibly good. 😃
Finally, we spent the last evening with a friend of Juli's from our time in the USA.
