Rangitoto Island

Today is my first excursion. We are taking a ferry to Rangitoto Island. It is a small island near Auckland.

We took the 'Early Bird' at 7:30 in the morning. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a phenomenal view of a volcano surrounded by nature, forest, and bush.


Together, we made it to the top of the volcano in four hours. Once we reached the top, the challenging hike (almost 6 km) was quickly forgotten because we had a view that cannot be described.


From the volcano to the ferry station, we walked through the 'bush.' It was much faster than the way there, as we walked along the outer edge of the island.



I hope you could partially recognize how beautiful the island is.
