The surfing island of Fuerteventura was on our program today.
Our excursion today started at the port of Puerto de Rosario.
The first stop was the sand dunes of Corralejo. From there we had a wonderful view over the sea to the island of Lanzarote.
We continued across the barren island to the fishing village of El Cotillo, where we stayed for over an hour.
On the coast of El Cotillo you can feel the brutal power of the water. None of us had expected such high and powerful waves and had never experienced them like this.
The place itself was nice and small, with narrow streets and cute cafes.
We drove back across the entire island, a mixture of half desert and half moon. But still somehow calming and beautiful.
Back on the ship we went straight to the beach. Sitting on the sand by the turquoise sea in February at 24 degrees is something you can do.
Afterwards, packing my suitcase was on the agenda. Because I wasn't any help, I had an hour of free time. So I organized a Planters punch. A beach chair in the sun on deck 12 was also free. Perfect match.
At some point 5 more of our travel group joined us. So we were able to leave for the last time at around 7.15 p.m. Our spot was chosen deliberately, that's where you can hear the ship's horn best. And how...📢💥.
On the last evening there was also some drinking, unfortunately there were only 4 of our Casanova shots left. The ship no longer had a Khalua🤷♂️.
Now go to bed, we're leaving tomorrow.
Good night, stay healthy.
