Hakone

Hakone 02/17-18/26

We took a day trip from Tokyo to the mountains near the city. In the small town of Hakone, there are many guesthouses with onsens, which are baths fed by hot thermal springs where you can soak. A great opportunity to relax in the cold weather! We also went on a little tour through the beautiful area, taking a sightseeing train through the mountains, a cable car up a volcano from which we could see Mount Fuji, and a boat ride on a lake. In the evening, we returned to Tokyo to catch the night bus to Kyoto.
